Liz Bio

Liz Bunting, Child PsychotherapistLiz Bunting is qualified as a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist and specialises in providing psychotherapy for children, teenagers and young adults to explore and express themselves in an emotionally safe, stable and confidential space.

Liz completed her Psychology degree in 2007 and has eight years of clinical practice working with children from age 4 up through into adulthood – both on an individual basis, with groups and with one or both parents.

As a personal interest and as a way of gaining experience while training, Liz volunteered for ChildLine/NSPCC for three years as a telephone counsellor, taking many calls from children and young people. Since then she has provided therapy in Primary and Secondary/High schools throughout Greater Manchester, with Place 2 Be in Moss Side, as part of a Primary Mental Health team with the NHS and with Beacon Counselling a charity based in Bramhall, Stockport.

Liz holds Professional Liability insurance and has Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced disclosure (previously CRB Criminal Records Bureau) and regularly attends additional training workshops and conferences as part of her ongoing personal and professional development. Liz is a qualified EAGALA practitioner.

Liz holds membership with and abides by the ethical principles and codes of conduct of BACP, UKCP and EAGALA.
